I discovered Paydotcom's Website last year after reluctantly using Jonathan Leger's The Best Spinner , I was pretty impressed with the software and started referring it to people. Paydotcom is pretty good too and I've even made a little profit from it so far, I'm looking into more of Jon's products like the Instant Article Wizard and Instant Article Factory next. They look pretty promising as well.

Freelancer.com really stinks. I've been on the site for years mostly as an affiliate, when I tried to withdraw my funds last month, they decided to cancel my account and keep my funds instead for an "affiliate violation" ??Don't waste your time with this site, go to Scriptlance instead.

Learning to create IPhone and IPad web and other applications is an extremely fast growing field and this primer will provide some details on getting started. Naturally, the main difference between IPhone and IPad apps is that IPad applications must use a larger screen resolution. iPhone OS apps are mostly officially licensed and sold from the Apple Store although hacks are available to install unauthorized applications.

IPhone, IPod Touch and Ipad applications run on the IPhone OS and can be developed using IPhone SDK and Objective-C, C/C++ can also be used - the SDK contains Xcode templates to help beginners get started. Most User apps use the Foundation and UIKit frameworks at the top level Cocoa touch layer of the IPhone OS (above). Other tecnology layers in the IPhone OS include the Media and lower level Core OS and Core services and require some more advanced programming.

Can't quite say I'm really ready to leave the site but it's pretty frustrating. Just an online resume really, it attempts to be more and I can see some potential but the results have not really shown up for me. There are Lots of recruiters there with 500+ contacts - I guess something must be working for them. Ultimately, I don't feel all that motivated to get more contacts when the 74 I have haven't done much for me. I have had a little exposure I guess and a few interesting convo's but no real business opportunities.

I'll keep trying, maybe just as a Social Media experiment to see what building a large number of contacts can do for me. Then again I've already joined groups there with many members soo, maybe not. Grrr.

Other than FB, the benefits of sm are pretty confusing, at least I can link most of them together that way if I update my LI account it shows up as a tweet (another dubious service :p).

The iPhone 4 is out and like previous versions it’s creating lots of buzz with most of it being positive. What protection do consumers have though if they lose their iPhone and it is found by someone with less than honorable intentions ? Software products like the iSecure Mobi App available on iTunes for $4.99 claim to provide advanced security and filing for data, music, contacts, images, storage and much more. iSecure Mobi lists features like Dept of Defense AES 256 encryption, calendar, storage categories and files, backup, browsing support, mulitple user accounts, easy logon buttons and data self destruct after multple failed login attempts. The obvious advantage of apps like iSecure are that they can provide a layer of protection if you lose your iPhone or are a victim of a hacking attempt.

One likable feature of the iSecure is the simple logon process and the on screen buttons button as shown in the image at the far bottom. Since it seems numerous lawsuits, investigations and corporate probes these days are based on digital information found on cell phones, computers and other devices, cheap apps like the iSercure Mobi look like a good buy, especially if you have private, sensitive or corporate data on your iPhone. Furthermore, if you ever need it, iSecure offers the option to create and logon to different accounts on iSecure to store different sets of data and save your favorites.

It is generally accepted that previous version of the Apple iPhone could use some improvement on its data encryption and security. Until that time, cheap, easy secure logon apps like iSecure will probably be the best way to secure your iPhone data and prevent it from falling in the wrong hands.

Biometric Security is the use of human features like voice, facial recognition, retina scan and fingerprints to verify the identity of a user instead of typing passwords. The technology has been around for many years but suprisingly is now available for use on the web and ecommerce thanks to products like the Ardeun Authenticator. Ardeun Authenticator allows members of a website or network to login using various Biometric devices like finger scanners, web cams, microphones, thumb print mouses and Geoplot (TM) a feature for users who don’t have these Biometric devices. Biometric authentication is used regularly by the government but can now offer the same security for ecommerce and many other industries by applying simple ASP or PHP code snippets to an existing site or computer.

Ardeun decribes their product as the safest and easiest online biometric product and far superior to password protected sites with 256 bit encryption on all it’s offered devices and software. Most of Ardeun’s products are offered as software as a service (SaaS) in the Cloud. Once the code snippet is added to a site and a biometric device is scanned, the Ardeun Monitor server remotely verifies identity and allows or refuses access to the user. One advantage of biometric authentication is that it can also require multiple layers of identification before access which can be a good thing, digital/web crime is a long term problem with more and more sophisticated methods appearing daily. Biometric products like Ardeun leave very little or no room for error in identity verification.

Basically with a good microphone or web cam you can actually set up your own biometric Ardeun login for your web store or site. The Ardeun site also offers a full list of specialized Ardeun devices like fingerprint smart card readers, microphones and Biometric software like the iWallet IE plugin that saves your passwords and works with their various devices. With this sort of simple commercial platform, biometric security is definitely starting to look like a viable future approach to secure identity verification.

James Blunt, Deathcab for Cutie, Theory of a Deadman - I gave Daughtry their own post. Nickelback has about 2 good songs that I can think of including their very 1st popular single. I know some of these bands have some good points or maybe 1 good song somewhere but I just mean that many of their songs seem consistently bad as a whole. I guess I can give them kudos for being able to pay instruments or something. Kanye, well as a whole I'd say his music is pretty poor, if you can label some of his songs that. I'm so over John Mayer.

2 of these bands above are candadian but for a good canuck band listen to the less known band Default - I'll even allow Avril's last album. Imho, Daughtry only did good on hemorrhage and 1 collabo with sevendust. Kudos to these bands on "somehow" making it big though. Ok I'm done.

P.s.

Finally Greenday has 1 good song since the nineties - "21" :) . I realize these are all opinions since musical preference cannot be quantified and that this is partially controversial search engine food.

Apple iPhone 3G Review

Apple continues to make new records with its latest version of the ever popular iPhone line. Unless you’ve been in total media blackout you probably know about the release of the iPhone 3G on July 11th and the good reviews and price drop it has received. Starting at just $199 for the 8 Gigabyte version and $299 for the 16 Gigabyte version, the iPhone 3G is more affordable than ever. It has better call reception and data transfer thanks to the new 3G broadband network and introduces new features like Exchange Server support, MobileMe support, improved email features and the usual great music, internet and video experience expected from the iPhone. C-net editors gave it an 8.3/10 and C-net users gave it a 6.9/10 rating.

Very likely due to price subsidies by Apples partners and affiliates the price for the Apple iPhone now starts at just $199 making it very attractive for gadget aficionados and people in the market for a high end phone. The shape has stayed largely the same and iPhone 3G now has many features found in corporate handhelds like the Blackberry and Symbian like a GPS, exchange server support and enterprise messaging. For the price and feature set it is now hard to find a more affordable Smart phone in its class.

Some more notable software updates include the Safari Web Browser and the App Store where you can access, download or buy applications like Enigmo, AIM, Facebook, Ebay Mobile and much, much more. Its integration with Microsoft Exchange Server is seamless and very easy to use but Apple’s MobileMe contact and address service may still need some tweaking because it sometimes has to be restarted. Music and Video features are still the same high quality and the GPS tracking is fast and easy to use thanks to the 3G broadband internet.

Available at AT&T and Apple stores the iPhone still does not support Bluetooth or have video recording but the battery life is pretty generous. Apple released the battery specifications as 8 to 10 hours for 2G calling, 5 hours for 3G calling, 7 hours for video and 24h for music – battery test have shown the numbers to be pretty accurate or slightly higher. The call quality is still good but naturally the 3G support is probably unavailable in remote areas but a basic connection is still possible there. Its basic 2 Mega pixel camera still has no flash but the picture quality appears to have improved somewhat.

Apple is also fortunately allowing customers who purchased its 2.5G phone within the last 3-4 months to swap it for the 3G version at further charge. Latest news reports do show that quite a few owners are also experiencing boot failure and crashing problems with some of the 3rd party App Store applications so this might be a concern. Overall however the iPhone 3G seems to be getting all the buzz in the smart phone market right now and with good cause because it is finally starting to approach the features found in other higher end enterprise phones.

Lakeland was pretty awesome this year. Lots of Good messages, I was there for part of sunday and returned on wednesday through thursday night. I returned to NSB very early Friday morning then hung out with out of town friends later that day and throughout the weekend.

Service sunday was really good and some very needed moves moves were made. We played lots of vball, wii**, blitz** and also hung out. As a bonus, I even got to make and stay in touch with a few new friends I'd never really been able to hang out with much before, so that was definitely cool ;).

It's Memorial Day. I just did some late night browsing on.. Komodo dragons after reading about a monitor lizard gone amok that had to be put down. I've always been a bit fascinated by Komodo's because of the name and their size - largest about 10ft. They are scavengers but sometimes do hunt and actually have nawsty bacteria in their mouth that usually causes fatal infections, freaky. Komodo's are a type of monitor lizard btw. Anyway there's your little lesson on them. Stay encouraged see you at campmeeting.
